Reports from Rumbek say, ninety-five people have been killed and forty two wounded in  clan fighting near Rumbek-Town in the lakes state.
The fighting on Tuesday was caused by cattle rustling between two Dinka clans of Luach and Pakam.

A Miraya reporter who visited the site of the fighting Thursday morning said, he found tens of bodies on the ground.

The State governor, Daniel Akot said the situation has calmed down and urged the two communities to settle their differences peacefully.

The commissioner of North Rumbek John Biliu, where the fighting took place said the two sides destroyed census material, burned houses and looted relief food and medicines.

Four ladies reported to have been raped by unknown armed group in Wau Shilluk village about 12 Kilometers North of Malakal town on the night of April 23rd.

Reports reaching Miraya F.M. say, the gunmen were on board a commercial bus heading to the South when they reportedly committed the act with passengers traveling from Khartoum to Malakal.

According to reports, one of ladies raped, is said to be newly wed to a captain in the SPLA who was traveling with his wife.

Before committing the atrocity reports say, the gunmen stop the bus, shot one of the tyres, beat the bus driver and his assistant and took away money and cell phones from passengers on the bus.

According to Commissioner of Census of Upper Nile State Mr. Aban James, similar incident happened on April 21st. when a Census convoy was stopped at Wau Shilluk by unknown gun men and took away more than six thousands Sudanese pounds from the Census staffs.

Commissioner James said, the convoy was returning from Akoka to Baliet town after dropping off Census staff.

This is the second time similar incident happened on the Malakal, Khartoum Highway in less then two months.

Last month a group of cattle raiders attacked passengers on the same highway during which two of the raiders were arrested.
