A convoy of about 360 returnees from Kakuma camp in Kenya arrived Wednesday in Kapoeta, Eastern Equatoria state.  

Speaking to Miraya FM, A repatriation officer of the United Nations High Commissioner for refugees, UNHCR, Mr. Tatsuhiko Furumoto, confirmed that the group of returnees has arrived and that they are going to be destined to Lopa, Budi, Ikotos and Kapoeta areas. 

He said that the UNHCR is planning to repatriate by the end of this year an approximate number of total of 16.000 refugees from Kakuma Camp.

Mr Furumoto pointed out logistical limitations, security concerns and rainy season as some of the main factors that hindering the process of repatriations.
