Ban Ki-moon calls for peace in Somalia |

 The United Nations Secretary General, Ban Ki-moon, “[urged] parties of the conflict in Mogadishu to refrain from the [random] and [unbalanced] use of force that endangers the lives of civilians, particularly in heavily populated civilian areas.”
In a statement, Ban Ki-moon, expressed deep concern over the huge number of casualties among civilians in this week’s heavy fighting in Mogadishu.He reminded that any targeting of non-combatants is a violation of international law.
