Taha condemens census postponement decision by GoSS |

The Vice President of the Republic, Ali Osman Mohammed Taha strongly condemned the decision made by the Government of Southern Sudan to postpone the 5th Sudan Population and Housing Census scheduled to take place on Tuesday.
Speaking to the press in Khartoum on Monday, Mr. Taha said that the step taken by GoSS is illegal, unconstitutional, and violates the Comprehensive Peace Agreement.
He also criticized the late timing of the decision.
