UN Force Commander urges Sudan to respect the CPA |

The United Nations Force Commander, Lt. Gen. Jasbir Lidder, said that there is no reason for Sudan to go back to war.
Lt. Gen. Lidder urged Sudan to respect the Comprehensive Peace as it is written for the people of the country to reach the referendum peacefully.
Speaking to Miraya after his farewell address to the Chinese Contingent in Wau, Lt. Gen.Jasbir Lidder Singh appreciated the efforts of the National Congress party and the Sudan People's Liberation Movement in implementing the Comprehensive Peace agreement.
General Jasbir said that the Comprehensive Peace Agreement (CPA) has a lot to achieve in the near future. He said that the population census, the Abyei issue and the North-South border demarcation are paramount protocols in the agreement. However, Gen. Jasbir warned that there is no reason for more bloodshed in Sudan.
