500,000 person infected with blindness |

The Sudanese National Blindness Campaign Program has revealed that about 500,000 people from 1.5% population of Sudan are infected with blindness.
The Program said that there is a high infection rate due to the increase of the disease in Bahr- el Ghazal, Equatoria, and the eastern Sudan States.
The Director General of the Program, Dr. Kamal Hashim, said that 60% of people are infected with the blindness disease.
