1.5% of Sudan population infected with blindness |

The Sudanese National Blindness Campaign Program has revealed that about 500,000 people from 1.5% population of Sudan are infected with blindness.
The Program said that there is a high infection rate due to the increase of the disease in Bahr el Ghazal, Equatoria, and the eastern Sudan States. The Director General of the Program, Dr. Kamal Hashim, said that 60% of people are infected with the blindness disease. Miraya FM asked an eye specialist, Dr. Nasir Mohammed, about the causes of the Trachoma Diseases.
