UNMIS describes the mission's audit report as unimportant |

The Chief of the Public Information Office in the United Nations Mission in Sudan (UNMIS), Khalid Mansour, commented on the reports published by the local press.
He commented on the reports regarding the audit report of UNMIS, describing them as unimportant.
The audit report which was conducted in 2006, and published by the Washington Post newspaper recently, revealed that the mission has wasted millions of dollars.
Speaking to Miraya FM Mr. Mansour said that the UN checks periodically all the financial transactions of its missions.
He added that the results of the investigation conducted in Sudan had been circulated to all the member states of the United Nations.
