The UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon has warned that he will request the UN mission in Eritrea to leave Asmara if Eritrea does not allow UN helicopters to refuel.

The UN chief said in a statement that he was worried about the task of the UN mission in Eritrea.

He added that he will ask the Security Council to redeploy the UN peacekeeping mission outside Eritrea for the time being.
