The Sudanese Government said it rejects the ruling of the French court that looked into the case of the six defendants of L'arche de Zoé group accused of attempting to traffic children to France.
The Government said the court’s final ruling coupled with Chad handing over the defendants to French authorities was not based on proper legal proceeding.
Minister of Justice, Muhammed Ali Al-Mardi, told Miraya FM that the Sudanese government has lost trust in both Chad, and France.
The French Court on Monday sentenced the defendants with 8 years’ imprisonment replacing the Chadian sentence of 8 years’ imprisonment with hard labor.
The convicts were accused of attempting to kidnap 103 children.
