Chad's President Idriss Deby threatened on Saturday to send his armed forces into Sudan to destroy rebel fighters he accuses Khartoum of supporting, and said he may break off diplomatic ties.
Mr. Deby told hundreds of women who held a march on Saturday in Chad's capital N'Djamena to protest against Sudan that his forces will terminate the armed rebels in their "den", as he said in Sudan.
Women at Saturday's march demanded that Deby terminates diplomatic relations with Sudan.
Debby said that the government will rapidly examine this request with a view to giving its position in the coming days.
From his part, Sudan Ambassador to N'Djamena, Abdullah Al-Sheikh, told Miraya FM that breaking off diplomatic relations will not solve the crisis between Chad and Sudan.
He told Miraya "For sure terminating the relations between the two countries will have an impact" he added " It will deepen the crisis between them".
in an answer to the question "was it an easy decision?" the ambassador said "It is not an easy decision and it's not a solution to the problems between the two countries"
