The Sudanese government revealed that investigations on the killing of the American diplomat in Khartoum have reached advanced stages.
The foreign ministry spokesperson, Ali Alsadik said the investigations are carried out in collaboration with American investigators and that the outcome will be announced whenever the probe is completed:
"Investigations are still in progress, with the participation of the American embassy, there is a close co operation in this, as the optimum goal is to arrest the culprits and bring them to justice.
We in the ministry of foreign affairs would like to confirm our commitment to protect and care for all aliens, and help them achieve the goals that brought them here, we collaborate with the security agencies in the country.
Foreigners are our guests here, and many of them asserted that Khartoum is a safe city, and Sudan is a safe place, and such incidents are isolated and do not reflect the real situation in Sudan.
