The National Council for Disarmament, Demobilization and Reintegration (DDR) endorsed the unified national strategic plan for the DDR program.

Brigadier Othman Nori, the Executive Secretary of the council, told SUNA that the plan adopts the administration DDR program giving a space, at the same time, to the national voluntary organizations and the civil society organizations.

He added that the DDR program, which costs 2 billion US dollars, consists of 5 phases targeting five hundred thousand combatants.
