Prisoners in the Central Prison of Rumbek in the Lakes State have disputed with the prison officers and starting throwing stones, protesting against the transfer of their inmates to Warrap State.
The prisoners according to an army officer are attempting to break away.T
The SPLA and riot police have been deployed around the main prison area and took control of the situation.
It is anticipated that more clashes might occur in the prisons.
