slm1.gifThe Sudan Liberation Movement -Minnawi Faction has rejected a request by the Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Mohammed Ali Al-Mardi, to lift immunity of Dr. Al Raiyah Jumaa, a member in the National Interim Assembly, who is suspected of involvement in the Guraidha incidents.

Speaking to Miraya FM, the Political Affairs Secretary of the SLM, Al Fadhil Al-Tijani, said the decision of the minister is a political double-dealing.

Al-Mardi told the Sudan News Agency (SUNA) that the decision to lift the immunity of Dr. Al Raiyah, is based on legal procedures.

The minister added that he received a letter from the Legal Administration in South Darfur State, referring to Al Raiyah and others as facing charges of involvement in Guraidha incidents, where a mass grave was discovered following the incidents.
