A senior army officer serving in the African peace keeping force in Darfur escaped unhurt when his car was attacked yesterday by gunmen, but his driver was seriously wounded
The African Union Spokesperson Nur Al-Din Al-Mazni told the French news agency that four unknown gunmen carried out the attack against the Ghanaian officer in Al Fashir town in North Darfur but he did not name the officer.
