The Speaker of the Legislative Assembly of the Jongolei State, Jodi Jongolei, has called on the President of the Government of Southern Sudan, Lt. Gen. Salva Kiir, to immediately dismiss the State governor.

Jonglei denied allegations by some politicians that the Murle tirbe continue to receive military support from the NCP-led government in Khartoum.
He described it as a ploy to distort the image of the Murle.
"There are no militarily organized," said Jongolei.
He said that they were military militias during the time Ismail Konyi the "they join the SPLA with their weapons, so there is nothing known as heavy weapons," said Jongolei.
He added, "the commissioner assured the government and the delegation which was here that there were no militias in Bor".
He said that when Ismail was fighting the SPLA he (Ismail) was receiving support from Al-Bashir government, "but he was not given any air carft," he asserted.
"so why now, these are incitements," he emphazied.
The State speaker further urged the Murle to remain law abiding citizens and to refrain from carrying out any reprisals against any innocent Dinka.
