Sudanese prisoners in Guantanamo Bay arrive home |

Sudanese detainees in Guantanamo Bay prison, Salim Mahmoud Adam and Adil Hassan Hamad have arrived in Khartoum on Thursday after almost five years in jail.
Speaking to the press in Khartoum, Adam and Hamad, complained about the poor health and the bad treatment they received from the prison authorities.
They also expressed fears over the poor health of their fellow Sudanese who is a journalist-Sami Al-Haj.
Adam and Hamad both 49 years old have been arrested in their homes in Peshawar, Pakistan, by the Pakistani troops and were taken to Guantanamo Bay prison in Cuba.
Government reaction
In its first reaction, the Sudanese government said it will continued communicating with the US authorities to release the remaining prisoners.
Speaking to Miraya FM the spokesman of the Sudanese Foreign Ministry, Ali Sadiq, said that the six Sudanese prisoners released from the Guantanamo Bay prison came as a result of the government’s efforts negotiating with the US administration.
"Contacts are under way at all levels, diplomatic, legal, and judicial," said Mr. Sadiq.
He said that the cotacts will coninue "until no Sudanese in this notorious jail," said Sadiq.
