unhcr.jpgThe United Nations High Commission for Refugees (UNHCR) has said that it is demanding more than one billion US dollars to support and assist refugees around the world. This came in the donor conference for the agency conducted in Geneva.

The UNHCR said that the speeding up of the pledges will make the agency to fulfill its new work plan and to function effectively.
