More than 25 civil organizations and political parties have signed a memo on the protection of freedoms and right.
The signatory parties said that this step is an instrument to campaign for freedom and human rights.
The National Congress Party said that it considered this action taken by civil society groups and political parties as routine, adding that it indicates that these groups have failed to achieve their claims.

"Those speaking about democracy are the most endured throughout their political history, activities, and intellectual philosophy," said Dr. Nafie.
He added, "and those speaking about the democratic transition are not practicing it neither in their parties or in their controlled areas".
Speaking to Miraya FM, Political Analyst, Faisal Mohammed Saad, said that he doubts whether the step taken by the parties and the civil society organizations could have an impact on the government or not.
"Generally it is a kind of establishing a front," Mr. Saad replied.
He said that the civil soceity organizations and the political parties need to join their efforts to implement it.
"It can be considered as a political step which indicates the willingness of the parties to coordinate with each other," said Saad.
