Educational experts have revealed the growing increases in the number of pupils ditching primary and secondary schools.

This statement came in a workshop organized in Khartoum in which the participants attributed the reasons of dumping schools to the boring curriculums in addition to the lack of school books, the fierce detentions, poverty and the absence of the parents or their seperation.

The Representative of the Ministry of Public Education Hassan Ali, called on enacting the role of social workers in addition to banning physical punishment and to stop discrimination among pupils.

He also stressed on the importance of generalizing education.

The workshop convened at the National Council for Child Welfare under the theme, "School skiving, problems and solutions."
