In an exclusive interview with Miraya FM, the spokesman of the ten Darfur rebel Movements which recently announced their unification in Juba, Issam Al-Haj, said that the movements have riased a memo to the UN demanding for the removal of one of the mediators in the Darfur peace talks, Hido Gabriel.
Mr. Al-Haj said that Hido Gabriel is specifying figures during the negotiations.
Al-Haj sadi that such practices are threatening some field commanders and attracting others in addition to conducting individual meetings with other leaders.
He said that the movements refused to meet this week with the UN delegation because the delegation included Mr. Gabriel.
"Hido has been calling on the movements' members individually and threatening some of the field commanders that sacntions taken by the UN could be imposed on them if they did not participate in the talks," said Al-Haj.
