The second National Congress Party Conference has started on Wednesday in Khartoum.

Addressing the opening session of the conference, President Omer Al-Bashir, affirmed there is no return to war.

 Political Crisis

President Bashir called on the SPLM to return to the Government of National Unity.

The conference which convenes for three days is being attended by 6,000 participants from the various States of Sudan.

The meeting comes in a time in which the Sudanese political arena is witnessing real tension where President Bashir has reiterated back from reverting to war by exerting efforts to bring together all the citizens in one front.

The SPLM delegation which came from Juba attended the conference.

The conference has called through its opening session for cooperation with all those who called for peace and also it called upon for disputes to be put aside for the sake of the country.

The National Congress Party conference is being attended by heads of political leaders and diplomatic missions in Khartoum.

The citizens of Juba town have, meanwhile, reacted positively to the statement of the First vice President of the Republic, Salva Kiir Mayardit's in which he said that there is no reverting to war.
