The Ministry of Health has officially announced  the Rift Valley Fever test results posivitive.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Animal Resources  and Fisheries said that the disease has spread in limited areas in the White Nile State.    Minister Galwak Deng added that the authorities had restricted the movement of cattle in the White Nile State: "the  First test results of the disease that were recorded on the 29th of October , by  the central Laboratory in   Soba ,  indicate  that there is virus  resisting bodies which may  be the  acquired immunity of the Animal’s  against the Rift Valley Fever."

The Minister of Animal Resources and Fisheries in South Sudan Dr. Festo Kumba revealed earlier that his ministry lacks medicines to send to the areas affected with the fatal fever.

On the other hand, the Deputy Director of Education in Al-Jazeera State, Zain al Abidin Ata Al Mannan, died from the fever.

Health authorities in the state have imposed a  quarantine on one hundred and forty people infected with the disease in Medani while prices of beef and milk products have declined sharply in Sinnar due to the citizens' refrainment from buying them.
