A number of students seeking scholarships from the Ministry of Education have complained about being refered to their home States to collect application forms for scholarship.

The Director General for higher education in the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, Atem Kwel, said that it is the government policy to decentralize distribution of scholarships.

He cautioned that dully completed forms are expected to be sent from the States by next September.

"We are decentralize and we want to share this responsibility of selecting competent candidates for those scholarship with the States," said Kwel.

Some of the students who flocked to the Ministry of Education seeking to get the application forms condemned the decentralization of giving out the scholarship application forms.

Some of the students accused the Ministry of corruption and detaining their school certificates allegedly to deny them to apply for better education abroad.

Over fifty gathered at the Ministry of Education in bid to get applications for the scholarships to go to South Africa or Egypt for further studies.

The deadline for the application is approaching soon.
