An official of the Ugandan Lord’s Resistance Army’s (LRA) peace delegation said that there has been no internal fighting or a split within the group’s ranks.
Speaking to Miraya FM in Juba after a visit to Ri-Kuwangba in western Equatorial State, to consult with the LRA leader Joseph Kony, the Chairman of the LRA peace delegation, Mr. Martin Ojul, denied the media reports that there was a fighting and a split within the LRA. The delegation is also comprised of the Vice-President of the Government of South Sudan, Dr Raik Machar, the former Mozambican President, Joachim Chissano, and the LRA representatives to peace talks in Juba. Its members met Joseph Kony to arrange for the upcoming consultations in Northern Uganda.
