kiir_salva_mayardit.jpgThe president of the government of Southern Sudan, Lt. Gen Salva Kiir has sworn in seven new ministers and three presidential advisers in his government, following the new appointments he made last week.  Speaking during the swearing-in ceremony at the south Sudan parliament, president Kiir advised the new ministers to work as a team and combat corruption.  He cautioned that the new responsibilities are not easy. The president also urged all the different political parties in his government to work as one team. He reiterated the SPLM’s commitment to implement the comprehensive peace agreement, denying that the SPLA has amassed its troops in the South- North border of 1956.
