The Deputy Speaker of the National Interim Assembly and a leading SPLM figure, Atim Garang, told Miraya FM that a decision to suspend the movement's participation in the parliament remains possible.
He said that this depends on the speech of President Al-Bashir to the parliament, if it does not include an initiative from the the NCP to solve the current crisis between the two partners.
"As the President is going to address the Nation and as the President of the Nation, then we are quite sure he will mention a lot of issues which are of concern to the Sudanese people," said Garang.
He added that, "but if he is going to address as a President of the NCP, then that is a different issue and we will decide...".
The speech of Al-Bashir to the parliament is expected to touch many current issues such as the situation in Darfur, the elections, and census.
