The Foreign Affairs Secretary of the Darfurian Democratic Popular Front, El-Hadi Bashir, has said that the Front will not part in the talks with the Sudanese government in Sirte town of Libya, if Khartoum does not take the implementation of the Comprehensive Peace Agreement (CPA) seriously.
Speaking to Miraya FM, Mr. Bashir said that the Darfur-Sudan government talks are meaningless with out the participation of the government of south Sudan in the government of national unity.
He said thet the success of the Darfur-Sudan government talks depends entirely on the full implementation of the CPA.
"We are not going to negotiate with the National Congress Party because of what it has done with its partner the SPLM," said Bashir.
He said that the SPLM had signed the Naivasha agreement and the NCP is not committed in implementing any item in the CPA.
"This made the SPLM to suspend its participation in the central government as such we believed that we shall not negotiate with the NCP without any guarantees," he concluded.
The Darfur Factions meeting in Juba is extended till further notice to give chance for more Factions to come in and take part in proceedings.
