Thirty eight political parties and civil society organizations have singed a document known as “a statement to the Sudanese people on the current political crisis in the country”.
The document was issued after a meeting at the premises of the national Umma party in Omdurman.
The political parties and civil soceity organizations concluded by committing themselves to seriously work for an inclusive confeence under the principle of no return to war and military option.
But the most important according to the group is the formation of an inclusive transitional national government in order to realize all commitments and running of general and transparent elections by the year 2009.
The groups which issued the statement attributed the recent crisis not just incidental happening between the SPLM and the National Congress Party but to the national crisis.
The statement said that the agreements of Abuja, Naivasha, and Eastern Sudan have failed to realize peace and democratic transformation because these agreements were partial dual.
The participants rejected escalationa and counter escalation, rejected foreign regency and external arbitration, and Sudan should not be disintegrated.
There were a several violations by the government before, and we issued a statement, saying that everyone from our members in the cities have to come back because we need to make a consultation.
