Car bomb explodes at an Ethiopian army base in Somalia |

In
Somalia , witnesses reported that a car bomb exploded yesterday evening at an Ethiopian army base in Bidawa, headquarter of the Somali transitional parliament, near the residence of
Somalia 's Prime Minister Ali Mohamed Gedi who was not injured in the incident.
A security officer working for Gedi who refused to disclose his name said the explosion was so strong that it shook
Beijing hotel which is located ten kilometers from the base where the current Prime Minister and his delegation reside.
It was not known immediately whether the explosion resulted in casualties.
Meanwhile, gun battles between Islamic insurgents and government forces have killed thousands of Somalis and prompted tens of thousands of
Mogadishu residents to flee the city.
