UNHCR fund crisis threatens to hamper repatriation of Sudanese refugees PDF Print E-mail

unhcr.jpgThe United Nations High Commissionner for Refugees revealed that the agency is facing a financial crisis, which will slow down the repatriation of the Sudanese refugees.  

Speaking during a press briefing in Juba, the UNHCR Officer in Juba, Mr. Givmai Wandimu said the agency is facing a financial crisis, which will hold back the repatriation of refugees.  

He said " donors  have not met their pledges meant for the repatriation exercise. "

According to UNHCR weekly return report, a total of over one hundred and sixty thousand returnees have been repatriated to parts in southern Sudan and Blue Nile State.
