The Vice Chairman of the National Congress Party, Nafi Ali Nafi, said 91% of the Sudan Armed Forces has already withdrawn from southern Sudan.

Speaking in press briefing in Juba, Nafi added that 9% of the Southern Sudan Defence Forces still occupy the oil regions and blamed the SPLM for what he described as its failure to redeploy its troops in the Blue Nile state.

Nafi also called on the Government of South Sudan to fulfill its promises to compensate the northern traders in Juba whose businesses were destroyed in the riots that followed Dr John Garang’s death in 2005.
