Libya and France have signed a Memorandum Of Understanding for cooperation on a nuclear energy project during a visit by the French President Nicolas Sarkozy. While in Tripoli, President Sarkozy promised to boost relations with long-isolated Libya as a reward for releasing the six Bulgarian medical workers. The medics had twice been sentenced to death by the Libyan Court for allegedly infecting over four hundred  children with HIV ,but were allowed to fly to Bulgaria on Tuesday, after receiving a presidential pardon.
