A Senior Health Education Officer in Western Bahr El-Ghazal State, Paul Majak Khalifa, said at least ten people have died from Cholera. On another side,a two week anti- cholera campaign aimed at controlling the outbreak of the disease in Wau had started.

The campaign is organized jointly by the State’s Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure in collaboration with non-governmental Organizations.The campaign includes cleaning the town, testing and treating water sources. and the disinfection of hospitals.The launch of the anti -cholera campaign comes after the acting Governor of Western Bahr el Ghazal State, Col Awad Juma Aman, declared a one week-cleaning campaign which ended last Sunday.
