Ten people died from cholera disease in Wau |

A senior health Education Officer in Western Bahr El-Ghazal State, Paul Majak Khalifa, has said at least ten people have died from isolated Cholera cases. A two-week anti cholera campaign aimed at controlling the outbreak of the disease in Wau had kicked off in the town. The campaign is organized jointly by the State’s Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure in collaboration with Non-governmental Organizations.The campaign includes cleaning of the town, testing and treating water sources and disinfection of hospitals. The launch of the anti cholera campaign came after the acting Governor of Western Bahr el Ghazal State, Col Awad Juma Aman, had declared a one week-cleaning campaign which ended last Sunday.
