President Al-Bashir appoints new governors for the Blue Nile and South Kordofan States |

President Omer Al-Bashir has issued a presidential decree relieving Abdel Rahman Abu-Median governor of Blue Nile State, and Ismail Khamis Jallab governor of South Kordofan State of their duties.
In return,President Al-Bashir issued a presidential decree appointing Malik Agar as governor of the Blue Nile State, and Omer Suleiman as governor of South Kordofan State. Al-Bashir also issued another presidential decree removing Agar and Suleiman from their ministerial posts. Agar was the Minister of Investment and Suleiman was a State Minister in the Ministry of Transport, Roads, and Bridges in the Government of National Unity. Al-Bashir’s appointments came as an implementation of the principle of rotation as provided in the Comprehensive Peace Agreement. The rotation is between the National Congress Party and the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement.
