Tensions are continuing for the fifth day in the Kajbar region in the Northern state, after the recent demonstrations against the water dam construction which left 4 people dead. Eyewitnesses said the authorities have adopted increased security measures by imposing a curfew ,and restriction of movement from one region to the other.Four journalists were also arrested on Wednesday while they were on their way to cover the Kajbar demonstrations.The Journalists’ Solidarity Union has called for the immediate release of the detained journalists, and had strongly condemned the arrest calling it a violation of the Constitution.
