FAO’s grant to the GoSS in the fight to contain and confront Avian Influenza |

The Food and Agriculture Organization has donated equipments to the Ministry of Animal Resources and Fisheries in south Sudan to help control and prevent Avian Influenza, generally known as the bird flu.
On another level,the Food and Agriculture Organization's Animal Health Consultant in South Sudan, Mr. Tesfai Tseggai said the organization plays an important role in detecting and following up the development of the disease in Southern Sudan.
The Minister of Animal Resources and Fisheries, Festos Kumba has expressed his appreciation of FAO’s contribution. He also urged the organization to continue her commitment in supporting his Ministry’s efforts to fight the disease.
