benedict-xvi.jpgPope Benedict XVI has today expressed "apprehension" over the plight of Africans in regions like Darfur, Somalia, the Congo and Zimbabwe. The Pope said, in Darfur and neighboring countries there’s an underestimated catastrophic humanitarian situation. Pope Benedict added that in Somalia, the renewed fighting has driven away the prospect of peace and worsened a regional crisis.
