somali_flag.gifWatery diarrhea has broken out in the Somali capital Mogadishu and at least 90 children were admitted to Banadir Maternal hospital. Medical sources explained that the sudden rise in infection came as a result of the people drinking contaminated water when they fled the violence to the outskirts of the capital. Doctors fear a further spreading of the disease which would increase child fatalities due to the lack of medical resources in hospitals.
