somaliawar.jpgAt least four people have been killed and eight injured in the middle of clashes between insurgents and security forces in the Somali capital, Mogadishu on Friday.Eyewitness said that Gunmen attacked an Ethiopian base in the former ministry of defense building. They fired mortar shells and machine guns and the Ethiopians responded back.Witnesses said the eight, including some children, were killed by stray mortar shells and bullets. These incidents forced thousands of people to flee out of the city.Somalia this week saw some of the heaviest fighting since Ethiopian troops helped the Somali government defeat the Union of Islamic Courts from Mogadishu late last year.
