sudan_milaria.jpgThe Ministry of Health in southern Sudan has launched a new Campaign against malaria under the slogan that says “eradicate malaria”. The campaign’s purpose is to educate citizens about the disease. The campaign also seeks to provide mosquito nets, and spraying of insecticides over the areas plagued with mosquitoes. The General Director of the Preventive Medicine of the Ministry of Health in southern Sudan, Dr. John Romono said that malaria affects 30% of the sick cases in the southern Sudan.Meanwhile, it is noted that malaria kills more than five thousand people in Africa each year.
