The Sudan People’s Liberation Movement SPLM and the Popular Congress Party have agreed to make use of their relations so as to accelerate solving the Darfur conflict. The agreement came after the SPLM secretary general, Pagan Amum, and the Popular Congress Party chairman, Dr. Hassan Al-Turabi, including some members of both parties that met yesterday. The two parties have also agreed to coordinate in resolving national issues. Pagan Amum is expected to meet today the National Umma Party’s chairman Al Sadiq El-Mahdi. The SPLM and the Democratic Unionist Party had earlier agreed to form a joint committee to improve relations between the two parties.
