A statement from the Presidents office said the former defense minister and former Kanou state governor Rabiou Musa was appointed the special advisor and is assigned to make contacts with the European commission, President Al Basher and the Ethiopian Prime minister Melze Zenawi.
Nigerian has a force operating in Darfur within the African Union force and it has expressed readiness to send about/ seven hundred troops to Somalia as part of the African Union peacekeeping force there.
