The First Vice President Salva Kiir Mayardit has pledged his full support and welcome to the Arab League peace initiative and the plan set-up by the committee.

Speaking in Juba, the First Vice President assured during his meeting yesterday with the a delegation of the initiative led by the  state minister for foreign affairs in Qatar  Ahmed  Bin  Abdulla, that the government of southern Sudan would  support efforts to make the initiative a success to attain peace in Darfur.

Qatar is hosting the peace talks based on an initiative launched by the Arab league in collaboration with the African Union.
