JEM announces initiative to unify Darfur factions PDF Print E-mail
Monday, 06 October 2008
Justice and Equality Movement has announced an initiative to unify the Darfur factions before the next negotiations with the government. A leading member in the movement Jibril Ibrahim told Miraya FM that the movement aims to form a unified delegation for the upcoming talks with the government, but he declined to name a date and venue for the meeting.

In a related context, intense diplomatic moves are taking place in Khartoum to reach an understanding between the government and the international community on the ICC crisis.

Delegates from the Arab League, the African Union and the Qatari government are expected to arrive in Khartoum on Wednesday.

These delegations will set-up a joint plan to reinforce peace efforts in Darfur.
