UNAMID helicopter fired on in Darfur |

A press statement from United Nations/African Union Mission In Darfur (UNAMID) press office stated that on September the 14th a UN helicopter was fired at on its way to Shangili Tobaya from Tawila town in North Darfur.
The helicopter was able to land safely with 12 passengers and 4 crew members.
On the same day, the statement said that two UNAMID Staff from the Engineering section in El Geneina town, West Darfur, were shot at by criminals suspected to be Janjaweed dressed in army uniform at about 05 km away from UNAMID Sector West Headquarters.
The two UNAMID staff who were driving two vehicles managed to escape uninjured.
