The Sudan People's Liberation Movement and the Sudan African National Congress party-have signed an agreement to adopt common positions on issues related to the peace in Sudan, particularly regarding full implementation of the Comprehensive Peace Agreement, CPA.

The declaration highlighted the commitment of the two parties to the democratic transformation in Sudan.

The declaration was signed by the Vice President of the Government of Southern Sudan, Salva Kiir Mayardit, Deputy Chairperson of the SPLM Dr. Riek Machar, and President of the African National Congress party George Kongor.
