The Spokesman of the Lord's Resistance Army David Matsanga said that the LRA will sign the final peace agreement.
He further stated that the LRA High Command and General Joseph Kony has instructed him to inform the world that LRA will sign the final peace agreement.
He added that the date for signing the final peace agreement will be agreed upon between the LRA and the mediator Riek Machar next Wednesday.
However, David Matsanga mentioned that the LRA will not disarm or demobilize until the International Criminal Court (ICC) warrants of arrest and other issues within the agreement are resolved by the Joint Liaison Group.
Meanwhile, the armed factions in Darfur have repeated their accusations against the government of attacking their positions in Darfur.
As the SLM- Minni Minnawi and Abdel Wahid Nour factions have confirmed repeated attacks on areas in North Darfur, the Spokesperson of SLM-Unity faction Abu-Bakr Kado accused the government of bombarding its positions in Eastern Jebel Marra.
He told Miraya FM that fighting is still going on resulting in displacement of many civilians.
On its part the armed forces denied launching attacks against the armed movements in Darfur, and accused the armed factions of banditry and attacks on aid convoys.
